OPTION 2 - SEND US A CHECK Send us your donation as a check in US Dollars or British Pound Sterling. Make the check out to 'ASAP Africa - BeeHive School' and mail it to our US address. But please keep in mind that there is a small 5% fee that ASAP Africa covers for acting as our parent organization providing advice, financial management, and support for our cause.
OPTION 3 - DONATE THROUGH OUR PARTNER GLOBAL GIVING Donate through our project partner Global Giving on the BeeHive School Global Giving Project website. Some donors prefer this option as GlobalGiving is a widely recognized and respected facilitator for non-profits. In regards to Global Giving, "Projects on globalgiving.org undergo compliance checks to ensure they have a bona fide charitable purpose and meet applicable laws relating to international philanthropy." More Information for Donors Your donation will go towards building the new campus. A breakdown of cost is here > BeeHive School Project, which operates primarily in Menlo Park, California is legally a partner with ASAP Africa. ASAP Africa is a 501 (C) 3 non-profit that has projects in Zimbabwe and Malawi. They were founded in 1992 by a couple who met and married in the Peace Corps while in Swaziland working in rural African schools. The organization’s goal is to create an, "organization whereby development projects and activities are not 'inflicted' upon local people, but truly spearheaded by capable members within those communities." ASAP Africa provides financial oversight for the BeeHive School Project and covers a low, 5% fee for this assistance.
